I WANT TO OWN A SPEC MIATA - WHERE DO I START?
HRD is happy to help! We will consult on your behalf with potential sellers to find the right race car for you. You tell us your budget and we begin the process of searching, negotiate purchasing, as well as the shipping and receiving of the vehicle. Once attained, we carefully look over and recommend parts and needs to keep the car in impeccable and safe racing condition. We can even store it for you!
HOW MUCH DO RENTALS COST?
$1,200 for a full LRDC track day at Lime Rock Park.
$600 for a half LRDC track day at Lime Rock Park.
$1,000 for an SCDA track day at Lime Rock Park.
$600 for an event on the FCP Euro Proving Grounds at Lime Rock Park.

ON-TRACK INSURANCE?
On-Track Insurance or HPDE Track Day Insurance is not included in the rental price. The driver may obtain a policy for their track event through a provider of their choosing. The policy must name Housatonic Racing Development LLC as the policy beneficiary in the event of any loss or damage to the rental vehicle. I AM LOOKING FOR A RENTAL FOR AN AUTOCROSS PROGRAM. IS THAT POSSIBLE?
HRD provides rentals cars for any and all events at Lime Rock Park. - Autocross events included.
WHAT EVENTS ARE RENTALS NOT AVAILABLE FOR?
HRD no longer provides race car rentals for Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) races, the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) races or Car Control Clinics at this time.
WHAT ABOUT TRAVELING TO OTHER RACE TRACKS IN THE REGION?
HRD mainly caters to the Lime Rock Driver's Club schedule at this time. If there is a date where the LRDC is not on track at Lime Rock Park, we would be happy to travel to any other track in the region such as Palmer, Thompson, New Jersey, or Watkins Glen. In order to plan and accommodate for this venture, enough time must be allowed before agreement.
HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER OF THE LIME ROCK DRIVERS CLUB?
The Lime Rock Driver's club is an exclusive racing group with primary driving experience at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, CT. In order to become a member, you can speak to Simon Kirkby at 248-761-2729 or simon@limerock.com

DO I NEED A RACING LICENSE TO DRIVE ON TRACK?
You do not need a racing license to participate in HPDE (High Performance Driver Education) Events or Autocross Course Events. You only need a racing license to participate in competitive and timed racing events such as SCCA or NASA.
WHAT KIND OF TRANSMISSIONS DO YOUR RENTALS HAVE?
All of the HRD Rental Spec Miatas have 5 speed manual racing transmissions. It is highly recommended that each renter knows how to drive a standard transmission but we are happy to teach those willing to learn.
HOW MUCH HORSEPOWER IS IN A MAZDA MIATA?
All of the HRD Rental Spec Miatas have finely tuned racing engines. Horsepower varies from car to car, but you can expect anywhere from 115-125 hP.
WHAT KIND OF RACING FUEL DO YOU USE IN YOUR MIATAS?
HRD uses 93 octane fuel for all of our rental Miatas. Fuel is included in the rental price.
